East River has gone a perfect 4-0 against Astronaut recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. East River will face off against Astronaut at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, East River turned things around against Boone on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 6-1.
Elijah Sealey tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East River is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brady MacLellan, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Dominic Diorio also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Astronaut, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Space Coast 10-1 on Tuesday.
Holden Quinn and Nathan Edwards were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Quinn pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Edwards didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). At bat, Quinn scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Edwards scored a run while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Ameer Ross was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Evan Burnette, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Astronaut hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Space Coast struck out seven times.
East River now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Astronaut, their record is now 5-9.
East River took their win against Astronaut in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for East River since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
