Basketball Recap: Sandy Valley Takes a Loss

Sandy Valley blew Edison out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Edison got their revenge. The Cardinals fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 53-50. The Cardinals have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Sandy Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Edison, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Coming up, Sandy Valley will head out to square off against Ridgewood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Edison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weir at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will be up against the Red Riders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.18 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
