Gwynedd Mercy Academy is 6-1 against Merion Mercy Academy since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Monarchs will venture away from home to face off against the Golden Bears at 3:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, Merion Mercy Academy waltzed into their matchup last Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Nazareth Academy a 6-0 shutout. The Golden Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Merion Mercy Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Gwynedd Mercy Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy took their win against Merion Mercy Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 17-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
