Basketball Recap: Park Tudor Panthers vs. Lawrence Central Bears

Park Tudor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The match between them and the Lawrence Central Bears didn't end well, with the Park Tudor Panthers falling 69-53. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Lawrence Central was led to victory by Nizyi Davis and Doron Harris. Davis made all 7 shots he took to post 19 points, while Harris went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Albert Gooden Iii, who posted five points and three steals.

Park Tudor's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lawrence Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Tudor will challenge Indianapolis Metropolitan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrence Central, they will square off against Hamilton Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Southeastern knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Lawrence Central likes a good challenge.
