Softball Game Preview: Elma Eagles vs. Pe Ell/Willapa Valley

The Elma Eagles will challenge Pe Ell/Willapa Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Elma comes in on three and Pe Ell/Willapa Valley on five.

Elma proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Forks 8-6.

Meanwhile, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let North Beach get on the board and left with a 23-0 win. Considering Pe Ell/Willapa Valley has won ten matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Elma, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Elma skirted past Pe Ell/Willapa Valley 8-7 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pe Ell/Willapa Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
