Lakeview has gone 9-1 against Lake Shore recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Huskies will venture away from home to square off against the Shorians at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lakeview has four straight victories, Lake Shore has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lakeview took a 29-point defeat the last time they faced off against Utica Eisenhower, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Eagles 30-27. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by exactly three points.

Meanwhile, Lake Shore played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-12 loss at the hands of Cousino. While losing is never fun, the Shorians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Patriots are ranked 177th).

Lakeview will have to contain Phoenix Hervey as he made an impact in Lake Shore's last game. He rushed for 61 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lake Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lakeview, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Lakeview against Lake Shore in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
