Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Dell Rapids

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dell Rapids had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Todd County Falcons. Winning may never get old, but the Quarriers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Leading Dell Rapids to victory were Alaina Wolff and Tenley Anderson. Wolff had seven digs and two aces, while Anderson had 37 assists and seven digs. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Dell Rapids was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matches.

Dell Rapids' record is now 27-6. As for Todd County, they moved to 19-16 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Dell Rapids and Rapid City Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. Todd County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
