Volleyball Recap: Bishop Guilfoyle Comes Up Short

Bishop Guilfoyle came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Derry Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

While Bishop Guilfoyle was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Derry's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-19.

Karter Shall paced Bishop Guilfoyle's offense, picking up seven kills. Shall got some help from Brenden Young and his 12 assists. Colton Folckemer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bishop Guilfoyle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Derry, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
