Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Springville's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Springville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Cedar Valley Aviators 16-6 on Friday. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Springville got a massive performance out of Tyler Haveron, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles Haveron has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaz Ciliezar, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Springville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive contests.

Springville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Cedar Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.

Springville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Aviators: the pair will be back at it again later today.
