Columbia Falls entered their tilt with Polson on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Polson Pirates 56-39. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Despite the defeat, Polson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hinkley Moss went 6 of 11 en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 13 points gave Moss a new career-high. Aleysia Black was another key player, putting up five points and six assists.

Columbia Falls' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Polson, they now also have a losing record at 5-6.

Columbia Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-54 loss against Browning on the 31st. As for Polson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-50 defeat against Ronan on the 1st.
