Dresden unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Trinity Christian Academy by a score of 21-19 on Friday. While Dresden had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored Trinity Christian Academy 7-0.
Dresden's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Dipietro and Bruce Willis. Dipietro rushed for 103 yards and two TDs, while Willis rushed for 64 yards on only seven carries.
