Volleyball Recap: South Pasadena Comes Up Short

If South Pasadena was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of La Canada on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the San Marino Titans on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

South Pasadena was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made San Marino work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 27-25.

When it comes to explaining why South Pasadena lost, don't look at Wyatt Morimoto-Woo. Despite the final result, he had 21 digs and two aces. Morimoto-Woo has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times he's played.

South Pasadena now has a losing record of 12-13. As for San Marino, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-5.

Looking ahead, South Pasadena will be taking part in a tournament against Chaminade at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for San Marino, they will be playing at home against Glendale Adventist at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
