Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

The Salem Seminoles came up short against the Chapel Hill Panthers on Friday, falling 44-20. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malia Haney continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chapel Hill, putting up 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Haney is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Terry, who posted four points and five steals.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Chapel Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Salem didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-35 victory against Redan on the 17th. As for Chapel Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-39 win against Douglas County on the 17th.
