Summertown skates past Cascade with ease

Recap: Summertown Eagles vs. Cascade Champions

The Summertown Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Cascade 76-44 at home. The win was familiar territory for Summertown who now have four in a row.

It was another big night for Grayson Burleson, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The match was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Bennett, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

Summertown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Cascade, they have fallen quite a ways from their 27-7 record last season and are now at 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summertown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Fayetteville at 3:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Fayetteville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Cascade, they will be playing at home against Cannon County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
