Softball Recap: Atascocita Wins Going Away Against King

King typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Atascocita proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-3 win. Considering the Eagles have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Allison Burkhalter made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Burkhalter was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rhilynn McCoy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Ava Pittman was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.

Atascocita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive matchups.

Atascocita's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for King, their record is now 14-8-1.
