Jay Howell Game Report: vs Dover

Bigelow was sadly handed a defeat on Monday, but Jay Howell did his best to prevent it. Howell turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Howell and Bigelow will head out to challenge Wonderview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Daredevils thanks in part to Howell: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched.
