Football Recap: Tattnall County Takes a Loss

Tattnall County managed to keep up with Toombs County until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warriors lost 28-6 to the Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Justin Powell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 178 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries for Toombs County. With that strong performance, Powell is now averaging an impressive 106.8 rushing yards per game.

Tattnall County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Toombs County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Tattnall County and Toombs County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Warriors are set to take on their familiar foe Crisp County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Toombs County will square off against rival Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
