The Covington Academy Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Education Brings Leadership & Achievement by a score of 43-33. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Covington Academy has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Education Brings Leadership & Achievement still got an impressive performance from Terrell Murray, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Murray's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Covington Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Education Brings Leadership & Achievement, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covington Academy will face off against CrossPointe Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. CrossPointe Christian Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Education Brings Leadership & Achievement will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forest at 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
