Volleyball Game Preview: Lawndale Cardinals vs. Leuzinger Olympians

The Lawndale Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Leuzinger Olympians at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Leuzinger took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Lawndale, who comes in off a win.

Lawndale took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Environmental Charter. The Cardinals not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th.

Lawndale walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Leuzinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Culver City.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, 25-14.

Leuzinger's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Lawndale, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Lawndale suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Leuzinger in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
