Soccer Game Preview: Immanuel vs. Exeter

Immanuel hasn't had much luck against Exeter recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Immanuel took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Hanford West get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Ashlyn Lloyd had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Immanuel.

Meanwhile, Exeter fell victim to Selma and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9-2. As for Immanuel, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 13-11-3.
