Basketball Preview: Newman Greenies vs. Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns

Having just played yesterday, the Newman Greenies will jump right back in to play the Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Newman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Randy Livingston Jr, who went 6-for-12 en route to 16 points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds. The Cajuns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Newman's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything went Newman's way against Metairie Park Country Day when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Newman made off with a 46-25 victory.
