Basketball Game Preview: East Eagles vs. Spencerport Rangers

The East Eagles and the Spencerport Rangers will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Spencerport took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on East, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, East got the win against Churchville-Chili by a conclusive 63-37. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Spencerport lost 54-33 to Our Lady of Mercy on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Spencerport, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Everything came up roses for East against Spencerport in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, as the team secured a 76-49 win. Will East repeat their success, or does Spencerport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
