Baseball Recap: Mid-Carolina Takes a Loss

Mid-Carolina fell victim to Chapin and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Rebels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mid-Carolina's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Chapin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mid-Carolina will square off against White Knoll at 11:15 a.m. on Monday. As for Chapin, they will take on Brookland-Cayce at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
