Basketball Recap: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Thunderbird Titans

Shadow Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Thunderbird Titans and fell 57-18. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-18 back in January.

Shadow Mountain used a three-pronged attack on offense: Tess Newport, Ailyn Ramos, and Emma Weed posted four points each. Ramos also led the team in assists with three. Shonnie Holland held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Thunderbird's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabella Illingworth, who posted 13 points and five boards. What's more, Illingworth also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Roscella Tsosie was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points.

Shadow Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Thunderbird, their victory bumped their record up to 14-12.

As of now, neither Shadow Mountain nor Thunderbird have any future games scheduled.
