The Ballou Knights will challenge the Dunbar Crimson Tide at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Ballou is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Coolidge, who was ranked eighth at the time (Ballou was ranked 13th). The Knights never let the Colts get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Saturday. The two-point effort marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Dunbar fell victim to Jackson-Reed and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0. Crimson Tide fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Saturday.

Ballou is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.5 points on average over those games. As for Dunbar, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
