Baseball Game Preview: Wenatchee Panthers vs. Moses Lake Mavericks

Wenatchee has won five straight games at home, while Moses Lake has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wenatchee 3.5, Moses Lake 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Wenatchee beat Eisenhower 8-4. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cadets: they've now won three in a row.

Wenatchee got a great performance from Kaden Fisher as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Fisher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Simeon Shanbour and Owen Ervin did most of the damage at the plate: Shanbour scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Ervin scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those three hits gave Shanbour a new career-high. Garrett Anderson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Moses Lake posted their closest win since May 3, 2024 last Friday. They had just enough and edged out Eisenhower 5-3.

Moses Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Wenatchee, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
