Basketball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert lost against Williams Field back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gilbert Tigers lost 87-65 to the Williams Field Black Hawks.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Williams Field, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert will head out to take on Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Queen Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Gilbert likes a good challenge. As for Williams Field, they will head out on the road to challenge Desert Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams Field is facing Desert Ridge at the right time seeing as Desert Ridge is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
