Soccer Game Preview: Randolph-Henry vs. Buckingham

The Randolph-Henry Statesmen will face off against the Buckingham Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Randolph-Henry will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Randolph-Henry made easy work of Cumberland and carried off a 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for Randolph-Henry, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Cumberland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cooper Haskins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Buckingham was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Lunenburg Central, falling 7-0. The defeat continues a trend for Buckingham in their meetings with Lunenburg Central: they've now lost six in a row.

Buckingham's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Randolph-Henry, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1-1.

Everything went Randolph-Henry's way against Buckingham in their previous matchup back in April, as Randolph-Henry made off with a 4-0 win. Will the Statesmen repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
