It was a proper cat-fight when Manchester took on Canton South on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Manchester got a great performance from Payton Klockenga as she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Klockenga has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Manchester let Cassidy Perry and Chloe White run wild. Perry went 3-for-5 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while White fired off two home runs, three runs, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave White a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Page, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Manchester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Manchester's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Canton South, they moved to 9-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Manchester will venture away from home to take on Mogadore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canton South will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' matchup: after the Panthers face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Canton South again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
