After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Mt. Vernon brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They never let the Southwest Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mountaineers, who have now won 22 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Cheyenne Bieber, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Schubert, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
