Baseball Recap: Middle Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Overhills last Friday, Middle Creek came back down to earth. The Middle Creek Mustangs fell just short of the Green Hope Falcons by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. It was the first time this season that the Mustangs let down their fans at home.

Will Tobin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a hit, which was his first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Middle Creek fell to 3-1. As for Green Hope, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Middle Creek beat Green Hope by a score of 6-4 on Friday.
