While Royal put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Santa Monica. The Highlanders came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 5-0. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Dustin Dunnwoody got the start for Royal and what a start it was: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Hudson Jarvis relieved him and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Ethan Hall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Royal has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs this season. As for Santa Monica, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal will host Trinity Classical Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Monica, they will face off against Oxnard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
