Recap: Toll Gate Titans vs. Pilgrim Patriots
The Toll Gate Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Pilgrim at home and fell 32-0. Toll Gate has not had much luck with Pilgrim recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pilgrim to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Soulliere, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Soulliere was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Chace Roberts was another key contributor, throwing for 180 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.
Toll Gate bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.7 points per game. As for Pilgrim, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Toll Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pilgrim also has no future games currently scheduled.
