Soccer Game Preview: Liberty Ranch vs. Woodland

The Liberty Ranch Hawks will face off against the Woodland Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Liberty Ranch's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Liberty Ranch is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Dixon 2-1. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by just one goal.

Christian Maciel and Alan Montelongo scored both of Liberty Ranch's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Meanwhile, Woodland waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Woodland who was credited with the win. Woodland got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Galt's three.

Liberty Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those 14 matches. Woodland's victory bumped their record up to 19-1.
