Basketball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

If Fairview was feeling good fresh off their 70-38 takedown of Westlake last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a blow against the Hicks Pirates on Tuesday, falling 75-46. The Panthers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 18-17. As for Hicks, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will host South Beauregard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.76 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hicks, they will be playing at home against Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
