Northwest Whitfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 49-39 victory over the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-54 on December 3rd.

Northwest Whitfield's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Whitfield will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dalton at 8:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, they and Rhea County will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
