 Platteview waltzed into their game  on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Auburn Bulldogs onto the board and left with  an   8-0  victory. That's more bragging rights for Platteview, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Not much got past  Bryson Banks, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Auburn off the board. Banks has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Alex Jones was  incredible,  going 2-for-2 with four  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Thomas, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Platteview now  has a winning record of 9-8. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Platteview will  square off against Beatrice at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Auburn, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Omaha Northwest at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
