Basketball Recap: DC International Takes a Loss

DC International was the 53-32 winner over Smith Jewish Day School when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The DC International Dragons were outmatched by the Smith Jewish Day School Lions and fell 56-25. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-3.

Despite the loss, DC International saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lilah Brown dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played.

DC International's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Smith Jewish Day School, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

DC International will venture away from home to face off against Washington Latin Public Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. DC International is facing Washington Latin Public Charter School at the right time seeing as Washington Latin Public Charter School is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Smith Jewish Day School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
