Basketball Game Preview: Shishmaref Northern Lights vs. Manokotak Lynx

Having just played yesterday, the Shishmaref Northern Lights will jump right back in to play the Manokotak Lynx at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Shishmaref has given up an average of 57.9 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Shishmaref heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Friday. They were beaten by Cook Inlet Academy 68-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Northern Lights have suffered since February 14th.

Meanwhile, Manokotak faced Shaktoolik in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Manokotak took a hard 83-68 fall against Shaktoolik. The Lynx's loss signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Shishmaref's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Manokotak, their loss dropped their record down to 19-2.
