Volleyball Game Preview: Tracy Bulldogs vs. Lodi Flames

The Tracy Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Lodi Flames at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tracy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Kimball, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 24, 2024.

Tracy took Kimball into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 21-25, 14-25, 25-10, 15-6.

Ethan Juran and Christopher Pena were among the main playmakers for Tracy as the former had 16 digs and the latter had 12 digs.

Meanwhile, Lodi beat St. Mary's 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flames.

Lodi had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Tracy's record now sits at 3-5. As for Lodi, their record is now 11-7.
