Volleyball Recap: Hampden Broncos vs. Camden Hills Windjammers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington Academy, Hampden was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Camden Hills Windjammers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Hampden not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Camden Hills between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.
Grace LaBree paced Hampden's offense, picking up six kills. LaBree got some help from Daniella Madore and her 18 assists. Lilianne Montgomery-Rice controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Hampden's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Camden Hills, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.
Looking ahead, Hampden will face off against Mount Desert Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Camden Hills, they will take on North Yarmouth Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
