St. Andrew waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Andrew's was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-9.

St. Andrew's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lela Beard, who had six digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Savannah ('Savy') Cook, who had eight digs and five assists.

They weren't the only good server: St. Andrew's was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive games.

St. Andrew's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Andrew's will face off against Hyde Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they will take on Brazos Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
