Soccer Game Preview: Mica Mountain vs. Walden Grove

The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts will head out to square off against the Walden Grove Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mica Mountain will head out to face Walden Grove after giving up their first home loss of the season on Wednesday. Mica Mountain took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ironwood Ridge. That's two games in a row now that the Thunderbolts have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Julian Ordaz, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, Walden Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to Mountain View.

Walden Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mica Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5-1.

Mica Mountain beat Walden Grove by a goal in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 1-0. Will Mica Mountain repeat their success, or does Walden Grove have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
