If Corpus Christi Moody wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lopez, they should've done a better job of containing Jasmine Cortinas. The Lobos came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Cortinas, who had 20 digs and 15 kills. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 35 times she's played.

Lopez has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Corpus Christi Moody, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lopez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Southwest Legacy on the 16th. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Sinton on the 16th.
