West Point on top after playing in state final for seven straight seasons.

Powered by four state titles, West Point is the most dominant high school football team from Mississippi over the last decade.

Based on our methodology, the Green Wave amassed 271 points from 2013 to 2022 to edge Starkville, which finished second with 258 points.

West Point won four straight titles from 2016-19, then was state runner-up from 2020-22. With four-star Florida running back commit Kahnen Daniels back for his senior year, the Green Wave are aiming for their eighth consecutive state championship game appearance.

Our methodology includes:

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps state computer rankings (25 points awarded to the No. 1 team, 24 for No. 2 and so on).

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps national computer rankings (50 points for No. 1, 49 for No. 2 and so on).

• State championships (20 points).

• State championship game appearances (10 points).
