Volleyball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ludlow Panthers. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ludlow, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Newport will face off against Williamstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ludlow, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Boone County on the 20th.
