Softball Game Preview: Potosi/Cassville vs. Pecatonica Vikings

Potosi/Cassville will take on the Pecatonica Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Potosi/Cassville will be strutting in after a win while Pecatonica will be coming in after a loss.

Potosi/Cassville will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Highland, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Potosi/Cassville came out on top against Highland by a score of 9-6 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Potosi/Cassville.

Meanwhile, Pecatonica didn't have quite enough to beat Belmont on Thursday and fell 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost five in a row.

Pecatonica's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Potosi/Cassville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Potosi/Cassville was able to grind out a solid win over Pecatonica in their previous meeting back in April, winning 3-0. Will Potosi/Cassville repeat their success, or does Pecatonica has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
