Baseball Game Preview: Horizon Christian vs. Warrenton Warriors

Horizon Christian are taking a road trip to take on the Warrenton Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Horizon Christian came up short against Blanchet Catholic last Saturday, falling 9-1. Horizon Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warrenton never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Neah-Kah-Nie on Monday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Tyson McGrorty, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Blake Tingstrom also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Warrenton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Warrenton pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Horizon Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
