Recap: Bulloch Academy Gators vs. St. Andrew's Lions
The Bulloch Academy Gators put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Andrew's 42-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Bulloch Academy, who have now won seven contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Bulloch Academy found their leader in underclassman Danye Garvin, who rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Garvin was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Aaron, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
When it comes to explaining why St. Andrew's lost, one person who can't be blamed is Richaard Williams. Despite the final result, he gained 118 total yards and a touchdown.
Bulloch Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Bulloch Academy will head out on the road to face off against Pinewood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pinewood Christian's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for St. Andrew's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederica Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jordan Triplett and Williams.
