Fort Meade is 9-1 against Avon Park since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Miners will look to defend their home field against the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Fort Meade is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Fort Meade is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Lake Region on Thursday. They came up short against the Thunder, falling 9-2.

Jy'Kia Faulk was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marleigh Carroll, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Avon Park came up short against Mulberry on Friday and fell 7-4. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Marianna Salinas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.

Avon Park's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Fort Meade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fort Meade has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Avon Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Fort Meade's way against Avon Park in their previous matchup back in March, as Fort Meade made off with an 18-8 win. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
